OSA Assessor Certification Program

Current Situation

In accordance with the new CSA Regulations all current assessors across the country were required to be retrained on the new CSA Assessment Program prior to the 2008 outdoor season. During March and April of 2008, 141 assessors in the province were recertified as OSA Assessors under the new program. Throughout the 2008 season, assessors were required to submit to the OSA a minimum of 2 completed assessments for evaluation. This was an ongoing process throughout the summer and feedback was provided to the majority of assessors throughout the season. At the conclusion of the year, every assessor was evaluated and re-classified as either a Provincial, Regional, or District Assessor.

Moving Forward

With the re-certification of assessors complete, the OSA will be hosting Basic Assessor Courses in April and May of 2009 for new assessors. If you are interested in attending the Basic Assessor Course, please read the following information:
